Hey there!

The name's Ashley Reed, though I usually go by the name Dash!
I'm a self-taught artist who specializes in fun and funky aesthetics to bring to life designs, characters, stories, and just about anything I can get my hands on. I've been drawing my entire life, and I don't think I could ever stop, even if I wanted to!

Simple art that makes great use of shape and color greatly appeals to me, there's just something so satisfying about having a character or design's personality or idea just shine through perfectly without the need for words. It's almost like building something together out of blocks and circles, and then being able to recognize it as something else entirely afterwards. Hey! That's a character now!

In 2018 I started up a free-to-read webcomic called "The Pirate Checklist" and continue to update it to this day. It’s quirky, it’s fun, it’s full of personality and engaging characters, and best of all, it has pirates! My goal for this project is to share a story to others and bring not only entertainment to its readers, but to also introduce them to the characters and world I’ve built up for them.

I've worked on an early education series called "Lollybeep Ridge" where I designed the various characters and world assets that spark fun and creativity into its young viewers. Over the past couple of years I've also designed Tshirts for sites like Threadless, The Yetee, Once Upon a Tee, Tee Fury, and continue to design tees for my own Tee Public shop.
